Gypsophilia will be performing at the Carleton in Halifax on Tuesday, Dec 7 at 9pm.¬† This intimate show will give audience members the chance to preview brand new songs from the band’s forthcoming album.

The concert is set just two days before the group boards the train (and performs on board) en route to Montreal, where they will be recording the album with producer Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Bell Orchestre, Basia Bulat, Black Ox Orkestar, Stars, Lhasa) at the legendary hotel2tango studio.

Gypsophilia will be holding a Halloween Masquerade Ball to celebrate the release of our second music video this year, a beautiful stop-motion animation by Sydney Smith and Jason Levangie, which will be screened at the show. Also on the bill are Krasnogorsk and DJ Regalia.  Music starts at 10pm and cover is $15.

We’re joining Ryan MacGrath for a show at the Halifax Club.  Ryan will play a set, we will play a set, and then we’ll get together for a few songs from Ryan’s forthcoming album, which Gypsophilia collaborated on.

We have tried twice to fly to NL in the past day and all flights have been cancelled due to weather in St. John’s.  We are hoping to make it into town on Saturday afternoon and play on Saturday night, but no details are yet confirmed.

We’re holding a good old fashioned Gypsophilia dance party at the Seahorse to celebrate the release of our first music video.  The video is called Battery Life and was directed by Scott Simpson. Krasnogorsk and DJ Regalia are also on the bill.  Tickets $12 at the door.
